Board Training

Board training services are available to owners seeking to achieve accelerated training results and/or who may lack the knowledge, ability, or desire to train the dog themselves. New puppy owners benefit from board training to give the puppy a head start on obedience, household manners, and sleep schedules. Many owners choose to pursue a board train instead of kenneling their dog while they travel for work or vacation, thus maximizing the time spent away from the dog.

Your dog resides in our home and receives exceptional care and focused attention for the duration of the training engagement. The environment includes a covered turf play space, an indoor training room, and a peaceful room in our house for dogs in training to eat, rest, and sleep.

Training priorities are determined at the onset followed by the development of an individual training program.  At the completion of the engagement, I provide a complementary “go home” lesson to teach owners how to reinforce the training protocols at home and assure lasting success. I provide 15-minute phone check-ins free-of-charge following a board training engagement.

• Puppy Manners: housetraining, sleep schedules, mouthing, jumping, impulse control

• Obedience: relaxed leash walking, sit, down, stay, come, and other specific or advanced obedience skills

• Behavior Modification: anxiety, excitability, stealing food & items, noise and traffic reactivity, barking, fear, stranger reactivity, etc.

• Service Dog task-training and assistance skills (see Service Dog tab on the menu)

Board train dogs receive multiple daily supervised interactive play and group training with other dogs and people to develop their social skills.

Rate:  $140/day with 50% deposit due at booking (7-day minimum)
